Baby Boy Blanket

Recently, I was so happy to get back to my quilting roots. For a couple of months I worked on making this baby quilt for one of my college-girls. Well, not really for her, but for her little bambino that's on the way! I'm so excited to meet him! I hope he likes it...

Bachelorette Fun

Back in May I went up to NJ for my college-girl's bridal shower and bachelorette party. Both were a surprise to her, and loads of fun (especially my naughty and nice shower gift... hee hee). But the life lessons were of course learned during the bachelorette party that night in NYC:

1. Private bus rides into NYC are always a blast, even if you are chugging a bottle of Maaylox,
2. Clubs that play 80's music attract nothing but bachelorette parties,
3. Bathroom stalls can be very informative! Did you know that your middle finger nail is the fastest growing out of all your nails?
4. A shotglass attached to a girl's necklace is not only functional, but quite cute!
5. "Bachelorette Fear Factor" is not always the best game to play when the only guy around listening to 80's music in a club full of bachelorette crews is a *complete* skeeze,
6. The rumor I heard is that the movie "Coyote Ugly" was really inspired by the bar, Hogs & Heifers (if you've been, you know why... and if you haven't been then just trust me!),
7. You're expecting too much if you think you're getting out of H&H with your bra still on,
8. It's quite normal to have drinks and money passed between your legs... when you're dancing on top of the bar!
9. Piggyback rides can be lethal to a girl's undies,
10. 3 1/2 hour car ride, hung over, by yourself... misery. 3 1/2 hour car ride, hung over, with a great friend... priceless!

Back to studying...

and it sucks. It's 10:30pm on a Friday night, and what am I doing? Studying. Poo. Silly me, when I graduated I forgot I'd have to study again. Or, is that called denial? I should know that...

In case you have no idea what I'm referring to, this August I'm taking the board exam to become a "board certified" genetic counselor. It's actually two exams , but whatever.

I'm brain dead already. I don't think that's a good sign...

Crazy Busy

Life is just insane right now, but I promise I'll catch up on posts soon... I've got a lot to write about!
